BEWARE!!! The Berean Library® contains FALSE TEACHINGS (bad fruit), that are found in Christian bookstores. These false teachings come from DECEIVERS, “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” (Mt 7:15-20), or from those who have been deceived themselves, “to mislead, if possible, even the elect” (Mt 24:24)! This library has been made to WARN others about the many false gospels/movements in Christian bookstores, which ATTACK the True Gospel. This site is here for the Glory of God (1 Cor 10:31) & 4HisTruth (Jn 14:6; 17:17), while hopefully and prayerfully, HELPING the flock to INCREASE BIBLICAL DISCERNMENT (Phil 1:9-11) by identifying & exposing false teachings (Rom 16:17-18; Eph 5:11), while encouraging further STUDY of The Word, to be like a BEREAN (Acts 17:11), and to TEST everything (1 Thess 5:21), in light of Scripture, so as not to be MISLEAD, as Jesus commands (Mt 24:4). (note: ALL caps are added for emphasis purposes only throughout this site)
▶ JESUS says, in Mt 7: 15-20, “BEWARE of the FALSE PROPHETS, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are RAVENOUS WOLVES. You will know them by their FRUITS. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the BAD TREE BEARS BAD FRUIT. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS.” (caps added)
What kind of fruit will one find in The Berean Library®? There will be “bad fruit” books and “good fruit” resources found in this library . “BAD FRUIT” is any works that TEACH a “DIFFERENT GOSPEL” (Gal 1:6), in the Church. JESUS & PAUL called THOSE WHO DO THIS: “wolves in sheep’s clothing.” JESUS described them as “RAVENOUS” & PAUL as “SAVAGE!” BEWARE!! There will also be “GOOD FRUIT,” Gospel-rich teaching that is full of God’s Truth (Jn 14:6; Jn 17:17), progressing and defending the Gospel (Phil 1:12,16) and contending for the faith (Jude 1:3), found in this library. Resources/materials will be identified, in light of Scripture, ‘Berean-style,’ as either, “good fruit” or “bad fruit.”
Adding “good fruit” books, as in biblical books found in Christian bookstores, to the library will not be necessarily offered, since warning of what is “BAD FRUIT” is the greater concern, though many “good fruit” resources are posted in the left column of the “Home” page, which indicate, by example, what “good fruit” is. Also, let it be noted, that all books found in Christian bookstores, that promote false teaching in the Church, will not be guaranteed to be contained in this library though there will be a diligent pursuit, by God’s grace, to present as much “BAD FRUIT” to BEWARE of as possible. Having stated that overall goal, the greatest priority and most important factor of this site is having the True Gospel and a Statement of Faith, the biblical outline of the essentials of the faith, available on this site! As a Spirit-filled believer understands these up, down, forwards, backwards, left to right, they will be able to spot a false teacher or false teaching instantly, by God’s truth (Jn 17:17) and grace! I simply cannot over emphasize enough that knowing the genuine, authentic True Gospel, hands down, is the KEY to discerning its many counterfeits!
Every resource/link, in this site, is carefully examined, in light of Scripture, before offering them for research of a particular book/author/pastor/teacher. Not only is it the goal of this site to aid in the increased awareness of false teaching in Christian bookstores and to promote how to identify it, but also to use this site as a platform to point people in the correct direction of the True Gospel and to showcase reliable, biblical resources, information and book reviews.
If any of the false teachers that are listed, have another account/info to the contrary, that they are indeed teaching the True Gospel (Rom 3:23, 6:23; Mk 1:15; Eph 2:8-9; Lk 9:23-26; Jn 3:36; 14:15; 16:8; Acts 17:30-31; 2 Tim 3:12; Rom 12:2), CONSISTENTLY, then we rejoice fully & welcome their information, as that is what the Body of Christ would LOVE to hear!
NOTE: In the case that a particular book lacks a biblical Berean book review, information of the false teaching/false gospel/false movement that the author promotes will be listed in lieu of its book review. CERTAINLY biblical Berean book reviews, blogs, broadcasts, etc., are welcomed to be added by guests, in the comments box, if they know of a link that has not already been included for a particular book or its author. ▶ In Mt 7:15-16, JESUS says,“BEWARE of the false prophets, who come to YOU in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are RAVENOUS wolves. “You will know them by their fruits (CONTRARY TO THE GOSPEL).”
▶ In Rom 16:17, Paul says, “Now I URGE you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances CONTRARY to the teaching which you LEARNED, and TURN AWAY from THEM.”
▶ In Acts 20:29-30, Paul says, “I know that after my departure SAVAGE WOLVES will come in among YOU, NOT SPARING THE FLOCK; and from AMONG YOUR OWN SELVES men will ARISE, speaking PERVERSE things, TO DRAW AWAY the disciples after them.”
▶ In Eph 5:11, Paul says, “Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even EXPOSE them;”
▶ In 1 Jn 4:1, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but TEST the spirits to see whether they are from God, because MANY FALE PROPHETS have gone out into the world.”
▶ In 2 Tim 3:13, we read, “But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to WORSE, deceiving and being deceived.”
▶ In Jude 1:4,19, “For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God in licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. These are THE ONES who cause DIVISIONS, worldly minded, devoid of the Spirit.”
