Rules of Engagement
WELCOME!!! The admin of The Berean Library® is THANKFUL FOR & APPRECIATES her guests!!! ’Tea is served,’ so to speak! One lump or two? Rules are a very good idea for the care and comfort of each Berean as they visit, read and ‘sip their tea,’ in the library. If attempts toward personal attacking or teaching against the essentials of the faith is noted, your ‘teacup will be not be refilled.’
Without further adieu…
***RULES***
All Scripture is truth (Jn 17:17). It will be upheld as such on this site as it is God’s revealed, sufficient, inerrant, infallible, finished and final authority. Honoring God & His Word is first and foremost.
By interacting with this site, you are agreeing to the terms by which this site wishes to CONDUCT itself (see Bible ref below), not necessarily to its doctrine. However, that does not mean that other teachings, outside the doctrine this site supports, are permitted to be taught here. All postings, such as links for websites, photos and comments are examined carefully, in accordance with Scripture, and are subject to be removed by the admin, partially or wholly, at any time, should they teach material this site, or “home,” does not support (2 Jn 10-11).
▶EXAMPLES OF WHAT/WHO TO USE: SHARING LINKS that are from John MacArthur/GTY, Shepherd’s Fellowship, Apprising Ministries, Herescope, Southern View Chapel, SO4J-TV, Wretched-TV/Radio, Let Us Reason, Justin Peters Ministries, etc., along these lines are highly encouraged for posting. FYI: Not all on-line discernment ministries (ODM’s) are good ones. Should any of them get posted by a visitor, FOR THE PURPOSE OF TEACHING FROM THEM, NOT FOR EXPOSING THEIR HERESY, they will be taken down due to blatant heresy of core doctrine, i.e., “Jesus-is-Savior” (anti-Lordship: denies the doctrine of obedience to Christ as Lord), “In Plain Site” (pelagian: denies the doctrine of original sin), and “Discerning the World” (attacks the doctrines of grace). Any KJVO sites will also be deleted.
It is because of the great magnitude of biblical responsibility and accountability that this site wishes to provide all resources/links posted as doctrinally sound as possible, related to theology, and as credible as possible, related to news/current events. Having stated that, it is necessary to express a DISCLAIMER that this site may not agree with all points of view of any one ministry, in relation to theology or otherwise, or with all opinions or commercial advertisements, in relation to news/current events articles, listed in this site. However, it is required that all core doctrine is in agreement for any biblical resources/links that are added throughout. Specifically, posts containing comments, links, images and videos are expected to be intended for objective research to aid in increasing BIBLICAL DISCERNMENT of PUBLIC preaching/teaching, overall, and are not permitted by this site to be abusive in nature for any reason, in general, nor for the specific purpose of personal vendettas. If one has personal conflict with any one of the promoters of false teachings listed in this site, it is advised they follow biblical instruction for their individual, private case.
This site welcomes discussions that are topical, meaningful, encouraging, enjoyable, purposeful and informative to the glory of God & His Truth; for the edifying (encouraging/building up) of His Church, as in “iron sharpening iron.” PLEASE NOTE: Instigators SEEKING TO BE DIVISIVE on this blog, will find entire posts deleted. Therefore, if you want your time and well-thought comments represented here, it is recommended to diligently pursue working within the following frame for SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, doing ALL things in love (Eph 4:15; 1 Cor 16:14):
A) BIBLICAL APPROACH:
▶2 Tim 2:14-16, 22-26: ”Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness,” (22-26): ”Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. But REFUSE foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. The Lord’s bond-servant must NOT be quarrelsome, but be KIND to all, able to teach, PATIENT when wronged, with GENTLENESS correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.”
▶2 Tim 3:16-17: ”All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
▶2 Tim 4:2: ”Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with GREAT PATIENCE and instruction.”
▶1 Pt 3:15-16: ”But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with GENTLENESS and REVERENCE; and keep a GOOD CONSCIENCE so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.”
B) BIBLICAL CONDUCT & GOAL:
▶Phil 1:27: ”Only conduct yourselves in a MANNER WORTHY of the GOSPEL of CHRIST, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.”
C) BIBLICAL ATTITUDE:
▶Phil 2:1-5: ”Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with HUMILITY of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of OTHERS. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,”
